π³οΈ Role Overview
A Voter Registration Clerk is a frontline officer responsible for enrolling eligible voters, managing biometric data, and providing accurate information to the public. Clerks ensure that the voter registration process is lawful, inclusive, secure, and respectful.

π§ Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Operate biometric voter registration kits (KIEMS/VIU tablets)
- Verify eligibility of applicants in line with electoral laws
- Guide applicants on voter registration requirements and procedures
- Assist applicants in completing registration forms accurately
- Ensure safe custody of equipment, materials, and voter data
- Report and transmit voter registration data daily to Registration Officers
- Uphold IEBCβs code of conduct, data protection, and confidentiality standards
- Respond to voter inquiries and support voter verification and inspection exercises
- Provide courteous and inclusive service, including to persons with disabilities and vulnerable groups
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
π Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Kenyan citizen aged 19 years and above
- Minimum academic qualification of KCSE Cβ (minus) or equivalent
- Computer literate with basic ICT skills
- Diploma in ICT, Statistics, Education, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and confidentiality

Applicants must not have:
- Held elective office
- Stood for election
- Served as a political party agent
